DarkNova.io is an action-packed, team-based, top-down shooter game set in the vastness of space. Choose to join the red or blue team, where your goal is to defend or steal the gem, plant and defuse bombs, or annihilate the enemy team for victory. Earn cash from kills and team victories to purchase new ships and upgrades for your next round!
If you join mid-round, you'll become a spectator until the next round begins, but don't worry — rounds go by quickly!
How to Play DarkNova.io
- 'H' - Bring up the help menu at any time.
- WASD - Use to move your ship; your ship will aim towards your mouse pointer. (Using a mouse is highly recommended over a touchpad.)
- 'P' - Open the shop, available only at the start of each round. Hotkeys are available for faster shopping.
- 'F11' - Go fullscreen for an immersive experience (especially useful for gameplay). If you're playing on a different website portal, visit darknova.io for the true fullscreen experience.
DarkNova.io Strategy
- Life is valuable: If you die, you'll become a spectator for the rest of the round. Be cautious when assaulting the enemy team and play as a team. Sneak up behind enemies or stay out of sight when attacking.
- Score points: You don't have to kill the entire enemy team — just grab the gem and return it to your base to score points.
- Choose the right ship: Buy ships that counter the enemy's strategy. Different ships perform better on different maps, so adapt to your surroundings.
- Pick up modifications: When you're low on money, try to pick up modifications dropped by dead players to improve your chances in battle.
