About Feudal Wars:
Feudal Wars is an io game centered around medieval military strategy. Play as one of the great kingdoms from the Middle Ages, including: France, England, Castile, The Holy Roman Empire, The Teutonic Order, and Venice. Each kingdom has its own unique knight unit and bonuses. For example, English knights do bonus damage to buildings, and their longbows do bonus damage against all enemies.
Feudal Wars is a multiplayer free-for-all game. Four players start out on opposite sides of the map, and the player who captures all the castles wins!
You can play public ranked games by clicking the "Find Game" button. You can also play private games, either solo (against AI) or with friends. To play with friends, copy and paste the game room URL shown after the map selection screen, which appears after you click "Private Match."
How to Play Feudal Wars:
Start with a small army of knights and a castle (which shoots arrows). Knights automatically spawn from your castle. Use them to capture more castles and spawn additional knights.
You also earn gold—small amounts for each castle you own over time, and small amounts for each enemy unit you kill.
Use your gold to purchase buildings like walls, barracks, archery ranges, stables, watch towers, and more castles. For example, archery ranges spawn archer units, which are strong against infantry, while stables spawn cavalry, which counter archers.
Feudal Wars Strategy:
- The objective is to capture all castles to win. Castles also increase the size of your army. With one castle, your army can have a maximum of 20 units. With two castles, your army size doubles to 40 units. Capturing castles is the quickest way to grow your army.
- Understand unit counters. This game operates like a rock-paper-scissors system. For example, if your opponent builds mostly cavalry (horseback units from stables), counter them by building polearm units from barracks, which are strong against cavalry.
- Place watch towers behind walls to effectively counter archers. Archers do minimal damage to buildings, making this an efficient defense. Cavalry units also perform well against archers.
- Most buildings you place can be upgraded (indicated by a blue icon with a white arrow). Upgrading a barracks, for instance, improves the strength of your polearm units. Upgrading is essential when you reach maximum population (currently 100). Sometimes fewer, stronger units are better than larger numbers of weaker ones, so be strategic about upgrades.
- In the early game, it’s more beneficial to focus on building more units rather than upgrading. Prioritize more buildings to boost unit production.
